*A Note About Flash
I’m going to be using Flash to play any videos or tutorials I have on this site, but I’ll be using H.264 compression instead of the normal FLV compression. What does this mean? First of all, it means better looking videos at lower bitrates with fullscreen and HD support. However it also means you need at least Flash Version 9 Update 3 installed. I figure this is a blog about future technologies, and H.264 is the future of Flash, YouTube and Blu-ray. It also makes it easier for me since Final Cut, After Effects and ScreenFlow all export out H.264 files natively without having to convert with Adobe Flash Encoder.
Please download the update if you have any problems viewing videos.Â
If you want to read more about how great H.264 is, read this press release by Adobe.
